The IES Global China Internship Program offers you the opportunity to gain international work experience in a dynamic economy, learn Mandarin and become culturally immersed in one of the most fascinating countries in the world.
This is the ideal program for undergraduates looking to get international experience before graduating or recent graduates trying to get their foot in the door.
You could become employed permanently as a direct result of participating in our program, as we have partnered with the biggest HR recruiter in China to provide you with job opportunities after your internship ends.
We are the only internship program in China that can offer this.
The internships are in over 150 companies across highly sought after industry sectors. This includes NGO's, marketing, international business, environmental, hospitality, engineering, consulting, finance, law etc.
Prior to beginning your internship you will undertake a 4 week intensive Mandarin course to learn some basic Chinese which will come in handy at your placement as well as in daily life. If you wish to keep improving your Mandarin after the 4 weeks you can continue classes during your internship or do our online Mandarin course.
In addition to organizing your work placement, IES Global will arrange everything from the visa, accommodation, orientation, professional skills course, culture and language lessons etc to make sure your China experience is a memorable one.

The China Internship Program introduces interns to international work and social development in Beijing or Shanghai.
The following are included in the program:
* Visa processing - We will apply for a visa for you approximately one month before departure. The visa you get is suitable for internships.
* Pre-departure information and assistance - We will provide and assist you with all the preparations you need, including helping you book your flights, choosing insurance and ensuring you will be ready for your trip.
* Airport pickup - Our Beijing and Shanghai teams will pick you up from the airport to welcome you and take you to your accommodation.
* Accommodation in central Beijing and Shanghai - You will be staying in a centrally located apartment. Public transport is nearby and the surrounding area will have entertainment, restaurants and shopping. Home stay is also available for those wanting to live with a Chinese family.
* Welcome Banquet - Meet other participants on your program, along with the IES Global team. You'll get to eat authentic Chinese food in a high quality restaurant.
* Welcome Pack - This contains everything you need to get around as well as information about the city.
* Orientation to China and Professional Workshop - You will be given an orientation on China to go over cultural differences and what to expect. You will also receive a workshop to help your professional development.
* Mandarin Learning and Phrasebook - You can choose from Mandarin classes in China or online learning to go at your own pace.
