Description
The Guernsey office of this international private bank and wealth management house is recruiting for a Banker to join their well established private practice.
The private banking team offers a range of wealth management products and services to their Channel Island clients. These Channel island corporate clients include Captive Insurance, Fund Administration and Trust Companies. As a Banker you will act as lead relationship manager for them. You will help them to grow their business with the bank in a profitable manner and ensuring a strict pricing discipline. Coupled with that you will find and nurture new corporate client relationships.
In this well paid Guernsey banking job it is expected you will meet with your clients on a regular basis - meetings, lunches and corporate events. From these regular meetings you will bring to the senior management's attention any issues that arise that might require project assistance - new product wish list, regulatory or compliance hurdles. As Banker you will liaise internally with the Client Mangers to ensure all operational and servicing issues are ironed out to provide a first class and efficient service to our clients.
In this well paid banking job there are growth targets and you must ensure that targets are met and are indeed stretching you. You have to be focused on constantly improving performance compared to competitors. The overall goal is of course to develop deep, profitable and long lasting personal relationships with key market influencers, including gatekeepers, directors and owners of corporate entities as they change, mature and merge.
To be considered for the Banker vacancy you will be able to demonstrate a deep technical knowledge across a wide range of complex financial products and a broad understanding and awareness of global financial markets. You will understand currencies, know about varying political situations and environmental information and be able to channel that into the advice you offer clients. It is expected you will in an instance be able to explain the latest FSA, and CI regulatory requirements. To have garnered all that knowledge it is expected you will have been involved in banking for at least five years in a client facing, advisory role. You will also hold at least the Certificate of Financial Planning (CFP) or Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and will hold or be working towards a postgraduate professional qualification (e.g. Securities and Investment Institute (SII).
